Logistics

Exhibit Plus has a logistics practice that ensures our projects are not only built on time, but are churned and delivered for our clients on time and within budget.

We also recognise that we are part of our clients’ value chain, and that our logistics practices for shipment, acceptance, receiving and warehousing must integrate with yours. Our logistics partners share our values, giving our clients the ability to move our project within an end-to-end transport solution, no matter the destination.

We understand that the way we package our project will determine the level of quality and safety for the installation of the final product (i.e. from its departure & arrival to & from the factory & venue).

We are also able to help you develop a business case that factors these considerations. Contact us to see if we may assist you, as we can readily demonstrate how ROI is maximised. We have provided an example for maximising the ROI using our Exhibition Display/Platform portfolio experience. For this portfolio, we would recommend five (5) activities during or prior to the Logistics Phase of the project to secure further ROI, shown below ...

HINT 16 – Manage Movements

It is important to know that you are free to choose any suppliers that you think work best for your requirements and budget.

This is true regarding shipping, floor movements, furniture rental and of course the exhibition stand package.

You will need to find a way to get your staff and exhibition display to the event. This may not be difficult if the venue is close. Just remember that larger pieces of your display must he handled with care at all points of the journey. If you don’t have access to a larger vehicle, you may consider hiring one to move your equipment.

HINT 17 – Repeat Final Checks

Completing final checks before departing requires a supply check list, with staff processes and the schedule receiving one last going over.

Make sure everything is where it should be and all staff are prepared. You will feel much better arriving at the exhibition knowing that everything is organised and ready to go.

HINT 18 – A Good Impression

If you want to be successful at an exhibition, then you need to understand the rules and basic expectations. Violating etiquette will make you and your brand look bad.

On the other hand, if you are polite, mindful and respectful, it will send a positive message about who you are and what your company has to offer.

HINT 19 – Knowing Event Rules

Whether this is your first, 10th or 100th exhibition, make a point to go over the rules carefully. These will likely be presented in print materials or on a website.

While some rules and regulations may be similar across most venues, some events have unique requirements. Information is powerful and will help you avoid making innocent mistakes.

HINT 20 - Follow the Schedule

Make sure you follow the event schedule from setup to clean up. You should be ready to greet attendees the moment the venue lets them enter. It makes you look punctual, professional and creates a better experience for attendees and your fellow exhibitors. You could lose business if potential leads see that you’re not ready and decide to skip your booth entirely.
